On Monday evening the top business leaders in Malmö were celebrated at a gala at Malmö Live concert hall. The CEO of EdTech company TicTac Interactive, Carolina Ericson, had been nominated as Growth Entrepreneur of the Year after a fantastic run of growth that led to a 30 per cent rise in turnover in 2018 alone.
TicTac is growing rapidly and is the leading EdTech company in Scandinavia. In 2018, TicTac doubled its sales to business, while total turnover grew by 30 per cent over the previous year.
The fact that TicTac is also growing more than twice as fast as the industry as a whole was one of the reasons why CEO Carolina Ericson was nominated in the category Growth Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2019 Malmö Business Gala.
The winner of the category was entrepreneur Dan Olofsson and his company Danir AB.
“Warm congratulations to Dan Olofsson for his fantastic efforts in building the company and his commitment to social issues! Entrepreneurs like Dan Olofsson make a big contribution to Malmö’s dynamic and exciting business sector and we need more entrepreneurs like him,” says Carolina Ericson, CEO of TicTac.
“2018 was a record year for TicTac and I am very proud to be nominated in the category of Growth Entrepreneur of the Year. I want to say thank you to our customers, partners and our talented staff who have all contributed to TicTac’s fantastic growth journey,” adds Carolina Ericson.
EdTech is one of the world’s fastest growing industries and TicTac is expecting a 20 percent growth in sales in the next few years. One milestone in the company’s growth journey is its partnership with the leading international AI platform Docebo, which has boosted TicTac’s growth in Scandinavia and helped gain ground in Europe. With Docebo in its portfolio, TicTac is able meet demands in areas such as social learning, blended learning and offline solutions for a variety of industries.
“2019 has seen a strong start, with exciting new customers and partners. This year we will intensify our efforts in Sweden and internationally to meet the growing demand for digital learning solutions,” says Carolina Ericson.
